Research activities
You will lead the applied R&D project "Solar-Print" at the Center for Nano Science and Technology of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (CNST-IIT@PoliMi) in Milan on the development of a roll-to-roll process for the fabrication of cheap and lightweight plastic photovoltaic modules based on organic bulk-heterojunction solar cells. Development will involve both standard laboratory techniques for the realization of small area lab-scale cells for benchmarking and high-speed printing processes for large-area plastic modules. This work will benefit from the expertise in CNST and Politecnico of Milan in organic solar cells, and the leading technology of the industrial partner OMET s.r.l., a leading company in the design and technology of industrial printers for the graphical arts and packaging industry.
